The Most Powerful Part of Your Brain

How much do you know about the most powerful part of your brain?

The subconscious mind holds around 90% of your total brainpower. This means that your conscious mind is just the tip of the iceberg. While the conscious mind can process 40 bits of information a second, the subconscious processes 20,000,000 bits per second. What kind of information is your subconscious mind learning?

The subconscious mind controls all bodily systems through various programs. Some of them were natural programs we were born with, like how to breathe, eat, and go to the bathroom. Others were ones that we were taught. For example, walking, brushing your teeth, riding a bicycle, driving a car, etc. The subconscious mind is essential, and without it, our lives would be much harder. However, there are certain programs our subconscious has learned that do not benefit our lives.

The subconscious is always listening and it cannot tell the difference between real life and fiction. This means it listens to the TV, computer, video games, music, and your imagination. Everything that comes into the subconscious mind is taken literally, and the subconscious mind doesn’t decide what is worth keeping. The things you are listening to, watching, and telling yourself program your subconscious mind. The more you listen or see something, the more it is reinforced in the mind as something important. Companies, governments, and other institutions of power know this about the subconscious mind and use it to influence your actions and thoughts. It is important to understand this information if you are to protect yourself from manipulation and mind pollution.

How do we reprogram this information? Repetition is the main way and another way is through hypnosis (when our mind is in a theta state). Our minds go into theta state while we are falling into sleep, and when we are waking up. This is why you have probably heard about someone listening to audio tapes while sleeping. If you are using the repetition method, it is important to note that our subconscious minds do not interpret negatives.

What do I mean by this? Try telling yourself not to picture a purple elephant sitting on a lime green rug. Your subconscious doesn’t listen and you picture that purple elephant sitting on the lime green rug. Another way it doesn’t understand negatives is when you say “I am not _____” and fill in with whatever you want (i.e. poor, sick, weak, overweight, etc.). Instead, you should say “I am ______” (wealthy, healthy, powerful, strong, beautiful/handsome, etc.).

Understanding your subconscious mind is important if you are trying to make positive changes in your life. It can be the difference between making the lifestyle change and struggling to make the change.

I struggled for many years trying to make positive changes in my life, what finally made this easier was understanding why I was sabotaging my success. I can teach you everything you need to know about the subconscious mind and its programs in one-on-one sessions with me.

I firmly believe we make the world a better place by starting with ourselves. Be the change you want to see in the world and choose to Power Up your life now!
