Break Free From Your Mental Prison

Have you ever felt like a prisoner in your own mind?

Feeling as if nothing you can do will make a difference, because this is just who you are. No matter what you try to do, you end up in the same spot as before. You know you want something better for yourself, but you keep on taking the same self-sabotaging actions over and over. You want to break free from negative thinking, but the negative thoughts keep coming back.

These are all signs that you are in a mental prison.

The good news is that you have the key, as you are the warden! You can break free from your prison at any time. So let us plan a jailbreak!

Ask yourself, what would you need to break out of a normal prison?

-You need to know the layout of the prison, and the best routes to escape -You need to know the normal functions of the prison (guard shifts, shift changes, patrols) -Help from the outside -Tools to help you escape -Create a plan -Follow through on that plan

This is the same way you break out of your mental prison. One of the main reasons it is hard to break free from the mental prison is that we do not understand our minds. How can we expect to escape from a place we know nothing about? Without this knowledge we are handicapped, so first and foremost we need to learn about our minds.

You can learn this information on your own, or you can learn it from someone who has already broken free from their mental prison. There is nothing wrong with asking for help. In fact, asking for help can speed up your progress and make things much smoother. You can learn from their mistakes, and gain an insight into what actually helped them escape.

Once you have this information, you can create a plan. It is important you think about what actions you need to take to break free from your mental prison. If any obstacles appear, what is your plan? Do you have any tools to help you continue forward? Answering these questions before you start, can make the process easy and smooth!

Now that you have a plan, you need to take action. The plan does nothing if you do not follow through with it. Remember, nothing changes if you change nothing... So take action, and continue to take action until you are free. No one else can do it for you, but others can help you!

These are the steps that I used to break free from my mental prison, and I can assure you I am never going back! I know you can get the same results... so what is stopping you?
